Felicific Life

Took this pic at the Taipei airport... this banner was found everywhere and I absolutely had no idea what "felicific" meant. Found the definition of "felicific": fe·li·cif·ic (fl-sfk) adj. Producing or intended to produce happiness. I see... can't they use a simpler word?
